Mobile Friendly Important for Businesses
Just because a desktop site can be viewed on a mobile phone does not mean it is mobile-friendly. Mobile sites are designed for the small screen, with the needs of mobile users in mind.
“Web sites that aren’t optimized for mobile deliver a bad experience for users and, in turn, lead to missed opportunities for advertisers and businesses across the Web,” said Jason Spero, director of mobile for Americas at Google, Mountain View, CA. “The mobile Web experience needs to improve in order for mobile commerce to take its next leap forward.
“Businesses – your customers are already looking for you on the mobile Web and if your site isn’t optimized, they may look elsewhere for your products or services. As mobile continues to grow, it will be increasingly important for you to provide your potential and existing customers with an experience that’s designed specifically for a mobile device.”
Do You Know What Your Current Site Looks Like On A Mobile Device?
Click Here to see what your current site looks like on a typical Smartphone mobile device.
Most web sites are not mobile optimized and can be very difficult to see and use effectively, causing many searchers to leave your site.
How Does It Work?
Your new Mobile Site is separate from your existing web site.
We, or your webmaster, will place our proprietary mobile device detection script and code on your existing site.
When someone accesses your standard web site using a mobile device, they will automatically be re-directed to your Mobile Friendly Site.
So, you don't have to worry about sending customers to a different site or anything, it's all done instantly.
You will maintain your current site, while making a Mobile Friendly version available to mobile searchers and people using mobile browsers.
