Hot Pepper Marketing was initially born out of a need to help offline, local businesses with their online, internet presence.

Currently based in Grand Haven, Michigan and established in 2007, we focused on web site optimization, search engine optimization, copywriting, social media, and a host of related marketing strategies.

Mobile is Exploding

Since 2010, we have narrowed our focus to Mobile Marketing. Why? Mobile is growing at a rate never seen before in history and is literally exploding.

  • Google has shown a 500% growth in local mobile search from 2008 to 2010 and a 67% increase in mobile queries in the last quarter alone!

As of August, 2010 Android was signing up a staggering 160,000 users each day and is well on its way to surpassing iPhone (which is only signing up 90,000 people each day) as the mobile system of choice for most people. (***UPDATE: As of October 2011, Google announced over 550,000 Android devices were being activated EVERY DAY!)

Why would Google put so much effort into the mobile market?

  • There are 5 times more mobile devices than computers, nearly 5 billion! And, get this, there were 1 billion new mobile users in the last 6 months alone!
  • Mobile has a 5 times better sales conversion rate than online.
  • Mobile has a 7 times better coupon redemption rates than online and offline!
  • Google provides free search services, because they make money on the advertising. And they want to control the largest market ever seen – mobile.

Mobile is Extremely Personal

Mobile marketing works because mobile is so personal. A whopping 91% of mobile device owners keep their phone within 3 feet of themselves 24 hours/day, 365 days/year!

It’s basically an extension of someone. Your mobile device contains all of your stuff: your contacts, your music, your photos, your videos, and more.

And, mobile is become more affordable every day compared to purchasing a computer and internet service. People already have their phones, their data transfer packages, etc. In fact. Walmart is now offering unlimited calling, texting, and data transfer (web browsing) for just $45/month.

Very few businesses are using it.
